On-Demand Transit Service

Transit is back in the City of Pembroke! In August 2025, the City of Pembroke launched the Ottawa River Transit (ORTC), a pilot on-demand transit service. After six months of service, the City of Pembroke is looking to better understand the next steps for ORTC. Tell us about your experience using the service or about travel decision-making factors that would encourage you to try the service by completing the survey below. If you have any question about the survey or require accommodations or assistance in completing the survey, please email ortc@pembroke.ca and we will work with you to ensure your participation. For more information on the service, please see the information below or visit ortc.ca.

How it Works

On-Demand Transit is a flexible public transportation service that allows travel within the City of Pembroke, when and where it is wanted. Unlike traditional buses that stick to a set route, on-demand transit uses smart-technology to find the best route to get you where you need to go. Rides are available on a first come, first served basis. During the trip, the bus will try to group together passengers. To use the service, you just book, ride and go!
